Herschel spots comet massacre around nearby star
Fomalhaut, a young star twice as massive as the Sun just a few hundred million years old, is surrounded by a dusty belt. Astronomers think an impressive number of comets in orbit around Fomalhaut continually collide thus producing this debris disc.
