How simple ideas lead to scientific discoveries
I love the idea that different branches of science are called fields of study. Most people think of science as a closed, black box, when in fact it is an open field, and we are all explorers.
Abell 383 a cluster of galaxies located about 2.3 billion light years from Earth. Studying Abell 383, scientists were able to provide “one of the most detailed 3D picture yet take of dark matter in a galaxy cluster”.
This is the International Space Station’s Cupola when it was in the Alenia Spazio clean room in Turin, Italy, where it was prepared for shipment to NASA’s launch facility at Cape Kennedy. (via NASA)
