There are cases of death described as spontaneous human combustion, but I think it’s more reasonable to consider that other explanations are more likely. Just because the cause of these deaths was not “discovered”, doesn’t mean that there was not a source of ignition.
Persephone81’s suggestion of travelling back in time is more plausible.
